Our Story

Heartsight is a therapeutic organisation that nurtures young minds and inspires achievement. Established in 2023, we work with children and young people with additional needs, many of whom have experienced exclusion from school and society. We offer a nurturing space for early recovery, where confidence is rebuilt through connection, curiosity, and care.

Grounded in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), and PACE, our approach views behaviour as communication—not something to punish. Many of the young people we support crave basic interpersonal connection and EYFS-style learning. By meeting these needs, we help them develop foundational skills often missed due to prolonged exclusion.

Our work takes place in natural environments – fields, woods, and rivers -where children can explore, play, and learn alongside peers with similar experiences. These shared spaces allow for the safe expression of behaviour, creating opportunities to reflect, discuss, and develop social understanding. Through consistent, boundaried responses, we help young people build the skills and confidence needed to re-engage with society – improving equity, inclusion, and wellbeing.

Beth Collins

Beth Collins

Senior Therapeutic Support Worker

I’m Beth, a Senior Therapeutic Support Worker passionate about helping people feel heard, supported, and empowered. My work focuses on creating safe, compassionate spaces where individuals can grow and thrive. I believe in the power of empathy, active listening, and practical strategies to make a real difference in everyday life.

I’ve spent several years working with youth organisations, both as a mentor supporting young people through challenges and as a board member for a local youth charity. In this role, I contribute to strategic decision-making, thinking outside the box to improve programs and services where needed—always putting the needs and voices of young people first.

Outside of work, I love knitting and getting lost in a good book—especially fantasy and mystery novels. These hobbies help me unwind and spark creativity, whether I’m crafting something new or exploring different worlds through reading.

I’m always learning and looking for ways to bring positivity and understanding into the world.

Jayne Burke

Jayne Burke

Therapeutic Support Worker

I joined Heartsight in July 2025. I have experience working in a SEMH primary school and as an EOTIS Tutor/Mentor, building on earlier time spent volunteering at my son’s school. I believe that all children ‘do well when they can,’ and I am passionate about gently supporting children to develop the skills they need to move beyond their current can’t (not won’t) and towards their full potential.

As a lifelong learner, I continue to grow through both professional work and personal experiences as a devoted mum to a sensitive son in his 20’s. Outside of work, I am excited to be moving into our ‘forever home’ with my partner, who I’ve been with since I was 14.

Our Services

Small Group Learning

We work with small groups and individuals to design the support that meets their unique needs, helping them get back on track both inside and outside the classroom.

Manage Classroom stress

Not all learning happens outside! We work with schools to create in-school interventions that help children manage classroom stress and improve focus.

School Collaboration

Our trained staff work closely with school teams to ensure the techniques learned outdoors transfer smoothly into the classroom, making school a more positive experience

Environment to Thrive

Our goal is not just to support learning but to create an environment where every child can thrive.

Our Mission & Approach

To support children who find traditional school environments challenging by providing therapeutic and outdoor education programs that nurture their unique needs.
